Graveyard- S/T
Artist: Graveyard
Album: Graveyard
Genre: Classic/Stoner Rock
Year: 2008
Website: Myspace
FOR FANS OF: WITCHCRAFT, DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, PENTAGRAM
Graveyard come from Sweden and are friends with similar sounding Witchcraft. Coming from the same scene of classic rock and early doom influenced bands, Graveyard play bluesy stoner rock with soulful clean vocals and awesome riffs. Like most stoner/doom bands, the Black Sabbath influence can be heard, but also there are traces of Deep Purple and even a bit of The Doors. I had a chance to see them live a few months back and they were incredible. If you are a fan of Withcraft, The Sword, Witch, or any of the retro stoner rockers around right now, you'll dig on this for sure.

Genre: Hardcore/Punk
Year: 1999
Website: Myspace
FOR FANS OF: HIS HERO IS GONE, CURSED, LEFT FOR DEAD, RUINATION
The Swarm was formed from the ashes of Left For Dead and members went on to form Cursed. These Canadians play some wicked metallic hardcore and this is their best album in my opinion. If you are a fan of Cursed or Left For Dead, you can't go wrong with this.

Hardcore/Powerviolence Collections
FOR FANS OF: DRI, NEGATIVE APPROACH, SIEGE, EXTORTION, MINOR THREAT
Here are some great collections of some awesome hardcore/powerviolence bands. Note that the Dropdead collection isn't all of their material since they have released some more material after the discography was released, but it is a good collection nonetheless.

Album: Into The Grave
Genre: Swedish Death Metal
Year: 1991
Website: Myspace
FOR FANS OF: ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, UNLEASHED, AUTOPSY
Grave, along with Entombed and Dismember, are three main bands that made Sweden such a legendary spot for Death Metal in the early 90's. This album is a perfect example of pure Swedish Death Metal in all its glory. It has the Sunlight production, the catchy song structures, and the bad ass riffs. This is a must have!

Impaled Nazarene- Absence Of War Does Not Mean Peace
Artist: Impaled Nazarene
Album: Absence Of War Does Not Mean Peace
Genre: Punk/Thrash/Black Metal
Year: 2001
Website: Myspace
FOR FANS OF: NIFELHEIM, SLAYER, MUNICIPAL WASTE, DARKTHRONE
Impaled Nazarene play a thrashy, punked up version of black metal. This is not your typical Mayhem style, one note noodling, tremolo picked black metal. There are razor sharp thrash guitar riffs, fast double bass drumming and higher pitched black metal style vocals. If you like super fast and super catchy punk/metal then check this shit out.

Darkthrone- Plaguewielder
Artist: Darkthrone
Album: Plaguewielder
Genre: Black Metal
Year: 2001
Website: Myspace
FOR FANS OF: BATHORY, CRAFT, SATYRICON, AURA NOIR
Plaguewielder is a commonly skipped over album, overshadowed by Black Metal classics like Transilvanian Hunger and A Blaze In The Northern Sky. This is the middle ground between their early raw black metal sound and their more recent rock'n'roll/punk sound. This is by far the most well produced album in their discography. This album has an awesome black'n'roll sound and the song "Wreak" is one of the best in the genre.
